Living life sober is a crucial part of my ministry. The success of developing Karlovema as a spiritually inspired way of life has afforded me strength enough in Yeshua Messiah (aka "Jesus Christ") to quit drinking alcohol, to stop using harmful drugs, to quit smoking cigarettes, and - by my own choice - to also become a vegetarian.

"I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me" ~PILEYMON/Philippians 4:3 (KJV)

LEFT: Check out my brief YouTube video on the subject of Christian sobriety. Many special thanks to Pastor Linda Mattila of Dayton, Ohio, for producing and posting this important message.

Recovery from harmful chemical dependence is a life-changing and ongoing process that once begun, it has no end until death lifts us up and into the eternal afterlife with our Heavenly Creator. Merely stopping the use of drugs and/or alcohol is only the beginning of a walk with Yeshua/Jesus down a long and fascinating road of new challenges and countless wonderful blessings ~ Indeed! ~ For many people, a conscious movement towards chemical sobriety brings them to their very own Journey to the Center of Now!

KEY BIBLE VERSES ABOUT LIVING SOBER:

WAYYIQRA/Leviticus 10:9 "Drink no wine or strong drink, you or your sons with you, when you go into the tent of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations."

KEPHA 1/1 Peter 4:3 "For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revelings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries."

KEPHA 1/1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour;"

DANIEL AND THE LIONS' DEN / A Musical-Comedy About Drug Abuse  Written by Bob Curlee and Rick Carpenter / 1971

"[29] For him who does whatever by mistake there is one Torah, both for him who is native among Yisra'el and for the stranger who sojourns in their midst. [30] But the being who does whatever defiantly, whether he is native or a stranger, he reviles [Yaweh], and that being shall be cut off from among his people."

~ The Book of Bemidbar, (aka "Numbers"), Chapter 15, Verses 29, 30 (The Scriptures, 1998)
