Genesis/Bereshith 2:2-3 "[2] And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. [3] And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made."

Exodus/Shemoth 20:2-17  "[2] I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery. [3] You have no other mighty ones against My face. [4] You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, [5] you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, [6] but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands. [7] “You do not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught. (Footnote: Or lift up, or take.)

[8] “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. [9] “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is a Sabbath of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. (Footnote: There are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly Sabbath.)

[11] “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart. [12] “Respect your father and your mother, so that your days are prolonged upon the soil which יהוה your Elohim is giving you. [13] “You do not murder. [14] “You do not commit adultery. [15] “You do not steal. [16] “You do not bear false witness against your neighbour. [17]  “You do not covet your neighbour’s house, you do not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbour.”

Exodus/Shemoth 31:13  “And you, speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign1 between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, יהוה, am setting you apart. (Footnote: The only sign of יהוה setting us apart, the only sign of the everlasting covenant, is His Sabbaths, one of them being the seventh day Sabbath. This is repeated in Ezek. 20:12 & 20.)

Exodus/Shemoth 31:17  " ‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’ĕl it is a sign forever. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”

Leviticus/Wayyirqa 23:38   "besides the Sabbaths of יהוה, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings which you give to יהוה."

Numbers/Bemidbar 23:20 “See, I have received, to bless. And He has blessed, and I do not reverse it."

DeuteronomyDebarim 4:2  “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it1, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I am commanding you. (Footnote: See also 12:32, Prov. 30:6, Rev. 22:18-19.)

Deuteronomy/Debarim 9:10  “Then יהוה gave me the two tablets of stone written with the finger of Elohim, and on them were all the Words which יהוה had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly."

Isaiah/Yeshayahu 56:1-2  "[1] Thus said יהוה, 'Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. [2] “Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil.'"

Isaiah/Yeshayahu 56:6-7  [6] Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant – [7] them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their slaughterings are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” "

Isaiah/Yeshayahu 58:13-14  [13] If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, [14] then you shall delight yourself in יהוה. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of the earth, and feed you with the inheritance of Yaʽaqoḇ your father. For the mouth of יהוה has spoken!”

Isaiah/Yeshayahu 66:22-23   “[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make stand before Me,” declares יהוה, “so your seed and your name shall stand. [23] And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares יהוה."

Ezekiel?Yehezqel 22:26  “Her priests have done violence to My teaching and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned in their midst. (Footnote: Zeph. 3:4, Lk. 16:16. )

Ezekiel/Yehezqel 46:1  ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, 'The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon it is opened.'"

Daniel/Dani'el 7:25   "and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times and law, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time. (Footnotes: This is another word for festivals. Changing the law amounts to lawlessness. Read in 2 Thess. 2:3-12 about “the lawless one” and the “lawlessness” which would take over - indeed, it has already taken over! -in the set-apart place, and also about Messiah’s judgment upon the lawless “prophets” in Mt. 7:23, and the lawless “believers” in Mt. 13:41!)

Psalm/Tehillim 89:34  “I shall not profane My covenant, Neither would I change what has gone out from My lips.

Proverbs/Mishley 30:5-6 "[5] Every Word of Eloah is tried1; He is a shield to those taking refuge in Him. (Footnote: Ps. 12:6, Ps. 18:30.) [6] Do not add to His Words1, Lest He reprove you, (Footnote: Dt. 4:2 & 12:32, Rev. 22:18-19.) and you be found a liar."
